A smattering of art mediums sure to pluck at one’s heartstrings can be found at Cre8tive Arts Network Inc.’s first show of the season, the “Oh, For the Love of Art” art show, slated for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday (Feb. 18) at the historic James K. Barnes home.
The Barnes home is in itself a thing of beauty, located in the center of the Fort Smith’s Belle Grove Historic District.
Featured artists are Lorrie Bridges (mixed media), Cathy Mason (oil), Kellie Lindsey Garner (music), Sharla Spoon (mixed media), Lacy Robertson (various), Crystal Wallace (oil), Maranda Carriger (small work, mixed media) and Malayka Campbell (small work, mixed media).
A $5 donation is suggested for patrons of the public event. For those lucky enough to know any of the artists or organizers, an invitation-only reception will be 5-7 p.m. Friday (Feb. 17).
