Country legends abound

Tickets are nary to be found for Wednesday’s show featuring Country Music Hall of Famer Loretta Lynn at the Walton Arts Center, but it’s worth a mention for those ambitious few who will stalk the box office, hopeful for a no-show ticketholder.
The country music legend will take the stage at Baum Walker Hall (likely to a standing ovation) at 7 p.m. Feb. 16. This is a make-up date that she had to cancel in December, and by the buzz around town, the delay heightened the excitement surrounding her visit to Northwest Arkansas.
Also Wednesday, tickets for another country legend, Glen Campbell, go on sale at the Walton Arts Center. Campbell, who was the object of a story on CBS Sunday Morning last weekend and performed on last Sunday’s 54th annual Grammy Awards show, will be at the center April 27. It’s been said that this is hhis last tour due to an Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
