Fayetteville Firm Lands Federal Money
Frankly, a lot of what Fayetteville-based Space Photonics Inc. does is over our heads, and not just because so much of its work is related to the aerospace industry.
Space Photonics, for example, recently was awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force Research Lab at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. According to a news release, the work will address U. S. Department of Defense needs “for innovative design methods, processes, and techniques for alternative integrated circuit anti-reverse engineering methods.”
Whatever that means.
Here’s something else, though. The award is a nine-month program for $100,000. There will be a proposal submitted at the end of that phase that could result in a second-phase add-on of between $750,000 and $1 million.
Now that we understand.
