Brewer Buys a House
Looks like Cliff Lee isn’t the only former Razorback who’s been house-hunting.
Lee, currently pitching for the Seattle Mariners, recently paid $2.85 million for a 5,700-SF home in Little Rock. The deal encompassed six lots.
The Ronald Charles Brewer Jr. Trust, meanwhile, recently bought a house in the Candlewood subdivision of Fayetteville. That would be the same Ronnie Brewer who was a hoops star at the University of Arkansas and finished last season with the Memphis Grizzlies after being traded by the Utah Jazz.
The home – 2518 N. Candlewood Drive – was listed at $2.95 million, but last appraised for $1.17 million in 2008. Brewer paid $1.8 million.
Brewer, according to ESPN, had a 2009-2010 salary of about $2.7 million. That number figures to go up, as Brewer is a free agent this summer.
The Candlewood home has 8,500 SF of total living area and a heated swimming pool. It was built in 2007 and had been listed for more than a year.
