Paying Taxes Not in the Cards for Massey
You don’t have to be a psychic to know several developers in Northwest Arkansas have hit hard times in a softening real estate market.
While seven- and eight-figure dollar amounts grab attention, we’re usually fascinated by the little things that start falling through the cracks.
Mitchell Massey, who has been selling property while fending off bank foreclosure actions and tax liens from the IRS, hasn’t paid his property taxes on the Psychic Center at 700 N. College Ave. since he bought it from Entertainment Innovators Inc. through Massey Holdings LLC for $141,000 in 2004.
Washington County records show the property taxes as delinquent for 2004, 2005 and 2006. The last property tax paid on the building was $353 in 2003.
