Morning Hosts Start Second Shift

Radio listeners may have done a double take for a few evenings in late March.
Jon and Deek, the morning radio hosts on “The Eagle,” KIGL-FM, 93.3, began broadcasting an evening show called “Jon and Deek After Dark” the last week of March.
Tony Beringer, regional vice president for Clear Channel Communications Inc., said the duo wanted to spread their wings, and that the show is a little edgier than the morning show. “Edgier” in terms of music selection and verbal banter, Beringer said, though the two won’t get anywhere near stepping over any guidelines set up by the Federal Communication Commission.
“The Eagle” recently landed as the No. 2 station in the Northwest Arkansas market, according to fall 2006 Arbitron ratings.
