Real Estate Agency Offers House Incentives
One real estate agency isn’t cutting prices, but it is finding creative ways to try to keep its listings moving.
Northwest Arkansas Real Estate recently hosted an open house where it brought in a lender and offered to “buy down the interest rate” to aid buyers in financing a new home. It also has partnered with a pool company and will build an in-ground pool if buyers want to add that to a home before they are purchase.
“We’ll either buy down the rate or put in the pool, just one or the other,” said Pat Moore, a Realtor/broker of Northwest Arkansas Real Estate. “We’re just trying to figure out how to sell houses, whatever it takes.”
Moore has been in the real estate business for 32 years and is optimistic the market will improve — for sellers that is — by spring. Her reasoning is that people continue to move into the area at a high rate while the number of new homes being built is declining.
