Delta Softens 4Q Prediction; Says 1Q Is Looks Promising
Delta Systems Inc., the Rogers automation and motion control software company, announced on Jan. 20 that its 2003 fourth quarter revenue will be in the $2.2 million to $2.4 million range. That would mean at least an 11 percent decrease from the $2.7 million it brought in during 2002’s fourth period.
In a press release issued recently, the company attributed the decline to weakness in orders received last summer.
Delta is traded on the Canadian Venture Exchange, but all of its financial information is reported in U.S. dollars.
The firm said orders received from customers during last year’s fourth quarter increased 80 percent from $2.5 million during 2002’s comparable period to $4.6 million for last quarter.
Delta now expects that revenues in the first quarter of 2004 will increase significantly from the $2.0 million generated during 2003’s first frame based on its order backlog.
