Business Journal Announces Changes
Kyle Mooty, an associate editor at the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal since March of 2000, has left the publication to accept a post as sales and marketing director with Heritage Land Title of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Editor Jeffrey Wood said Mooty will be sorely missed.
Wood said Laura Bruegge (pronounced brig-ee) has joined the Business Journal as an assistant editor. A St. Louis native, Bruegge has spent the last year at Southern Living where she worked as an intern for the magazine’s “Lifestyles” section.
Bruegge is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism and a former contributing writer to the Mid-Missouri Business Journal and Vox Magazine. She worked as an assistant editor for IPI Global Journalist magazine and during summer 2002 at Drapers Record magazine, known as the “fashion bible” of the United Kingdom.
“Laura was also a capital reporter with the Missouri Legislative Service where she did extensive reporting on agri business and other issues,” Wood said. “We have been impressed both with Laura’s enthusiasm and experience.”
Bruegge’s responsibilities at the Business Journal will include coverage of agriculture, real estate and development, architects and engineers, and trucking and transportation.
Emily Buckley also joined the Business Journal staff in May as an intern. She is a junior at the University of Arkansas.
