Bill Gates in Bentonville?
Well, not exactly. But Microsoft Corp., where Bill Gates is chairman and chief software architect, is putting an office in Bentonville.
The king of software has joined hundreds of other suppliers of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. by locating an office in Northwest Arkansas to be close to the retail giant’s Bentonville headquarters. In this case, Microsoft has signed an intent-to-lease at Moberly Professional Park, owned by Mike Beard and Doy Gillihan.
Microsoft will be in the second building at Moberly Professional Park. IBM plans to move into 7,800 SF of the second building.
Other tenants in that building include Computer Associates, iSoft Corp., Avaya and Hewlett-Packard. Beard said he is working with other prospective tenants.
