Here?s H.O.P.E.
Steve and Kelly Zega of Fayetteville have joined Team H.O.P.E., a national volunteer organization founded to assist families with missing children by offering counsel, resources, empowerment and emotional support from a trained volunteer who has had or still has a missing child.
The Zegas’ daughter, Haley, was missing in 2001 when she wondered off during a hiking trip in the Buffalo National Wilderness Area. She was rescued 53 hours after disappearing.
The regional coordinator for H.O.P.E. is Colleen Nick. Her daughter, Morgan, has been missing since 1995 when she was abducted from an Alma ballpark. Greg and Tammy Tubre of Bentonville are also H.O.P.E. members.
The group recently attended training at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Arlington, Va. The Web site is www.teamhope.org.
