On June 21, Drs. Bryan Abernathy, Larry Tuttle, Mark Bonner and Gary Thorn of FirstCare Family Doctors South purchased the 40,000-SF East Side Plaza on Huntsville Road in Fayetteville for $1.5 million. The physicians bought the building as members of Family Practice Investments LLC.

Planning to occupy a 12,000-SF corner of building by late this year, the doctors will lease the rest of the space. Both current tenants, The Rolling Pin Café and Guardian Angel Childcare Center, will remain in the plaza with the option for expansion.

From its current 6,000-SF office, which is farther south on Huntsville Road, FirstCare Family Doctors South treated more than 27,000 patients last year. Medical Services of Northwest Arkansas — the administrative service for FirstCare Family Doctors, Northwest Arkansas Pediatric Clinic and Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic — will use the building for office space once FirstCare Family Doctors South relocates.

At the new location, the physicians will begin to offer cardiac stress and spirometry testing. The clinic will buy new equipment for the procedures, but the administration did not release price estimates for the machines.

FirstCare Family Doctors is a group of 11 family doctors and one advanced nurse practitioner with locations in Fayetteville, Springdale and Prairie Grove.
