The nation’s leading discount retailers are expanding grocery options in Rogers.
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is building its 21st Neighborhood Market store at 1817 S. Eighth St., and Kmart Corp. plans to upgrade its Rogers store at 2115 W. Walnut St. to a Super K.
At about 40,000 SF in size, Wal-Mart’s Neighborhood Market stores carry an inventory of about 60 percent food and consumables along with the 20,000 bestselling Superstore items.
Super K stores, which compete with Wal-Mart Supercenters, stock a large selection of groceries. As of May 2, Kmart had 2,113 stores and sales of about $40 billion per year.
