Label Art Inc.’s Fort Smith plant, home to 14 full-time employees in the 25,000-SF facility, will be closing its doors for good Aug. 3.

Label Art had been purchased by Transkrit, which filed for bankruptcy last winter. At that time, WS Packaging Group of Algoma, Wis., acquired Label Art, of Wilton, N.H. It was one of the largest privately held manufacturing plants in Fort Smith.

Label Art had been bringing in about $3 million in annual revenue.

The plant’s employees, including press operators and the plant manager have been offered jobs with the company’s Tulsa plant.
