ABF Freight Set Heads for Television
ABF Freight System Inc., the largest subsidiary of Arkansas Best Corp. in Fort Smith, will be featured later this month on several major television networks.
An episode of Strategic Business Report: Global Perspectives will be broadcast to more than 60 million homes on CBS, ABC, FOX, and UPN affiliates and other stations across the nation.
Produced by Tri-Com Pictures, the program will be 30 minutes. The news magazine-style show explores the issues, technology and innovations that are shaping the future of corporate America. The June episode highlights organizations that have changed their infrastructure to meet the demands of an online economy.
“ABF is an interesting company that has transformed the way they do business for the digital age,” said Mike Leddy, producer/director for Strategic Business Report. “They provide essential services and an abundance of information with a customer focus and commitment to innovation.”
The segment was shot at the ABF customer service facility in Miami, Fla.
ABF Freight System is one of the nation’s largest and most experienced motor carriers, offering direct service to all 50 states, nine Canadian provinces, Guam and Puerto Rico. Earlier this year, ABF was named “Innovator of the Year” by Network World magazine. The company’s Web site, abf.com, is ranked among the best 50 of all sites by CIO magazine.
Arkansas Best Corp. has enjoyed a surge recently in its shares, rising from $15.0 on April 4 to $21.71 June 7.
