Ron Goforth, general manager of Beta Rubicon Inc. in Fayetteville, was a presenter April 25 for the Louisiana Board of Regents at “Roadmap to Opportunities,” a statewide technology conference at the Pennington Bio-Medical Conference Center in Baton Rouge, La. He discussed technology due diligence for the crowd of 350 people who represented all of that state’s universities and high-tech research centers.

Beta Rubicon has also been invited to make a proposal to do technology assessments for the Louisiana Technology Park. Goforth said he was impressed with what he saw.

“The Governor here [Mike Foster] has really gotten aggressive about introducing technology to the state,” Goforth said via telephone. “He’s started a plan called Vision 2020, and is pumping substantial money into technology development here, including $33 million into the Louisiana Research Park.”
