Best Buy Opens Fayetteville Store

On April 19, Best Buy Co. opened a 45,000-SF store in Fayetteville, the company’s largest store in Arkansas. Best Buy has two stores in Little Rock and one in Fort Smith.

The store in Fayetteville’s CMN Business Park was previously a Service Merchandise location. Managers held a grand-opening celebration April 20-21 for the new Best Buy.

Part of the festivities including donating appliances — such as washers, dryers and refrigerators — to four needy families through the United Way, said Mike Lattimore, the store’s sales manager.

Best Buy sells electronics, compact disks, computer software and a variety of other items. A main feature of the new store is a $337,000 Suite 12 high-definition television that actually consists of 12, 53-inch big-screen television tubes. Mobile video setups for travelers are among the hot new items for sale at the store.

The store is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
