Although the store in now smaller, sales have doubled since Outdoor America moved from Bentonville to Springdale’s Center Point Place in July, said Matt Bruton, manager of the sporting goods store.

rBruton said Outdoor America had occupied a 17,000-SF building on Arkansas Highway 102 in Bentonville. The new location is about 13,000 SF, but that doesn’t include the marine service center or archery range behind the store.

rThe store was open for three years in Bentonville under the ownership of Ralph Walker. Walker sold the business to Sam Mathias and Fadil Bayyari, and the new owners moved it to Center Point Place, which is owned by Mathias.

rOutdoor America carries primarily hunting and fishing supplies. Gun lines there include Browning, Winchester and Weatherby. The store also carries archery equipment from Browning and Mathews.

rOutdoor America stocks almost every line of fishing products available, Bruton said. Currently, the store has 12 Champion boats and 11 War Eagle boats in stock and plans to begin carrying Bennington pontoon boats soon.
