Some parents aren’t joking when they say their children understand more about computers than they do. Issac Hunter, Stacey Rubin, David Hudson and Matt Hudson proved that point by starting an Internet design company in Northwest Arkansas.

All under the age of 21, the four fellows opened the virtual doors to Extreme Design after several years of Web-design experience. The new company’s main designer, David Hudson, 16, already has three years of Web-design experience.

Area businesses with Extreme Design Web sites include Arkansas Chiropractic, Parties Galore and radio station KBVA in Bella Vista, said Issac Hunter, Extreme Design’s office manager.

Personal attention sets the company apart from others in the field, Hunter said.

The company should easily be able to compete with larger designers in the area by offering designs at a lower price, he said. A three-page site costs about $750.

“People shouldn’t have to pay as much for a Web site as they do for a car,” Hunter said, noting that the shop usually charges about half the cost of its competitors.

Target clientele for Extreme Design includes smaller businesses and political candidates.
