Super D-eal Gets Done in Rogers
Stephen LaFrance Pharmacy Inc. of Pine Bluff is putting in a $5.3 million USA Drug Store at the corner of South 15th Street in Rogers and Walnut Street Amresco Commercial Financing Inc. of Boise, Idaho, is providing the financing.
LaFrance Pharmacy, the parent company of Super D Drug Acquisition Co. and USA Drug & Beauty Market Franchising Inc., recently purchased Freddie’s Pharmacy at 1149 W. Walnut Street and plans to consolidate both it and Super D’s existing store on Walnut St. into the new location. The new 6,500-SF USA Drug will include a drive-through window and sit on a 1.5-acre lot.
Ted Viala of the Shearin-Hatahaway Group in Rogers, brother of LaFrance executive Terry Viala, put together the real estate deal.
Tentative opening date for the new pharmacy is mid-summer.
LaFrance recently refinanced a number of its Super Ds, including its Super D Express stores at 1104 N. College Ave. and 2111 W. Sixth St. in Fayetteville. The $23.3 million refinancing also went through Amresco.
