Online real estate transactions and sites are a hot topic right now.

Kevin Hawkins, director of Real Estate Connect, says that’s why his company will be host for The Real Estate Commerce Technology Summit July 14-16 in San Francisco. Registration before June 15 is $595 and interested parties should call 800-775-4662, extension 123.

Hawkins says a wide variety of sponsors and Net organizations will be represented. Discussion will include how to better use the Internet to make buying and selling homes a better experience for consumers. The event will be a study in the digitalization of real estate transactions.

Other Web-based, realty service news makers include the launching of RealtyAssist.com, which features free desktop software, and Homeseekers.com and MSN Home Advisor, which are partnering to provide free personal web pages to real estate agents nationwide.

HomeGain.com has introduced two new programs, BrokerGain and AssociationGain, which it hopes will help real estate brokerages give their agents new tools for generating customers.
