Take me club, please

On Feb. 17, Joker’s Comedy Club & Lounge will open in the Fayetteville building at 2217 N. College Ave. that previously housed Planet Rock, a nightclub that has been closed since New Year’s Day.

Joker’s Comedy Club will be operated by Paul Robertson and Bryce Curry, who were partners in Planet Rock.

Joker’s Comedy Club will serve liquor, appetizers and small meals, says Robertson. The establishment will feature only professional comics, and tickets will about $5 to $10 per show. The club will have comedy shows at night Wednesday through Saturday. The lounge will be open Monday through Saturday.

Joker’s Comedy Club will have a “soft opening” Feb. 12 and 13, but the official opening will take place the following week.
