Mathias Mortgages Shopping Centers

Several shopping centers owned by Sam Mathias have been mortgaged for $2.9 million since July.

Mathias Shopping Centers Inc. received a $2 million mortgage July 30 from First National Bank of Springdale. The loan was signed by Mathias as president of the company and is secured by Village Creek Shopping Center, a 35,600-SF development on 4.7 acres at the intersection of U.S. Highway 71B and Arkansas Highway 264 in Springdale.

Mathias Shopping Centers Inc. received an $890,204 mortgage Aug. 12 from Arkansas National Bank of Springdale. Mathias signed the loan, which was secured by an 11,000-SF shopping center at 1140 N. Walton Blvd. in Bentonville and USA Plaza, a 14,959-SF shopping center at 2250 W. Sunset Ave. in Springdale.

Mathias also owns the Ozark Factory Outlet Stores mall at 5320 W. Sunset Ave. in Springdale.
