The Trademark Co. of Fort Worth is considering the purchase 309 acres of land south and west of Spring Creek Centre in Fayetteville for retail, office and restaurant space.

“We’re doing very significant engineering and cost analysis,” says Larry Levin, senior vice president of the Trademark Co. “We’re combing the market for potential tenants.”

The land is owned by NANCHAR Inc. and Marjorie Brooks of Springdale, who also own CMN Business Park. Levin says he began negotiations with the owners about nine months ago.

The Trademark Co. develops commercial shopping centers and industrial property. The company developed County Line Plaza in Jackson, Miss., and University Park Village in Fort Worth.

Levin says it may take a few more months before he knows if the Trademark Co. will purchase the Spring Creek Centre property.

“It’s a very large, complicated project,” he says.

Levin says he attended the spring convention May 19-22 of the International Council of Shopping Centers in Las Vegas and talked to several potential national anchors about establishing outlets in the proposed Fayetteville shopping complex.

“There was a generally enthusiastic response,” he says.
