Fatal Crashes Rise 14 Percent

Fatal crashes involving Northwest Arkansas trucking carriers have increased by at least 14 percent from a total of 59 reported in 2001-2002 to a total of 67 reported in 2002-2003, despite the decrease of 2,216 tractors among the ten companies.

A letter published in The Morning News on May 31 erroneously stated that Grub?s Bar & Grille, Fuzzy?s Restaurant and Jerry?s Homestyle Cooking, all in Fayetteville, had closed. All three restaurants are still open and operating as usual.
