Best Frickin Chicken, Ramblin Man Added to Shulertowns Spring Lineup
Fans of the Best Frickin Chicken in Town can now get their fried chicken fix on Dickson Street in Fayetteville.
The restaurant recently parked its food truck in the Shulertown food truck court, joining Ramblin Man Food Italian cuisine to comprise the newest additions to the court’s spring lineup.
Holdovers from Shulertown’s debut last spring include Great Dang Pies & Tamales, Feltner Brothers, Shakedown StrEAT, Wicked Wood Fire Pizza and Burton’s Comfort Creamery.
Each vendor signed a one-year lease with owner Zac Wooden, who also owns 21st Amendment bar.
Wooden said the court does not have official hours, and tenants are open whenever they choose.
Since neighboring restaurant Green Submarine opened in October, the sandwich shop has opened its bar and restroom facilities to food truck customers.
Los Bobos Taqueria is also now part of the action, and interior doors between the adjoining restaurants allow free movement of customers among the three spaces.
For Best Frickin Chicken, if an injection of funds from a private donor does not keep the restaurant going, Shulertown could, before long, be its only location.
During the past few weeks, the eatery posted about its financial woes on Facebook, with a March 10 notice of the imminent closure of its brick-and-mortar store, followed by the announcement that an anonymous donor had saved the restaurant two days later.
