BNSF Logistics Plans for International Market

Springdale-based BNSF Logistics will soon be making the move into the international transportation management sector through a company acquisition.
BNSF is hush-hush about the details, but did say that it is poised to purchase a company that will add about 18 percent to their annual revenue numbers and 35 to 40 new employees.
A BNSF spokesperson said the deal will go public sometime in the first quarter.
BNSF is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp. The company, which was recently named to Inbound Logistics’ Top 10 3PL Excellence Award, provides third-party supply chain services.
