The Morning News Pens Prior Pryor
We chuckled a little on Sept. 19 when we read The Morning News’ Page 1 account of the Arkansas World Trade Center announcement.
The story said Chancellor John White cited cooperation from “…the offices of senators Blanche Lincoln and David Pryor, both D-Ark.,” among others.
David Pryor is the former Governor of the state and is also a former U.S. Senator. He resigned as the dean the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service on Feb. 15, and is currently a board member of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (the nonprofit corporation that ensures universal access to non-commercial, high-quality programming).
We think the writer — or possibly White — meant to refer to U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor, D-Ark. who is the son of David Pryor.
