Former “Our Town” section editor for The Morning News, Tammy Tucker, is now director of communications for the University of Arkansas’ Alumni Association.
She is responsible for managing all print and electronic communications of the association and is an associate editor of Arkansas magazine, an alumni publication.
Tucker worked for the News for seven and a half years, but saw the opportunity as a chance to use her two degrees from the UA to help the university, she said.
Tucker is a third-generation graduate of the UA.
Debbie Miller, reporter and editor for The Morning News, took over as the “Our Town” section editor on Sept. 13. Miller now oversees a total of nine weekly feature sections for the News’ print edition and the publication’s Web site.
Becca Bacon Martin, a reporter with the News since 1988, was named assistant features editor.
