Touchstone Subdivision Ready for Extensive Building

Touchstone Development of Bentonville recently purchased 27 building permits valued at a total of $6.56 million to build homes in a southwest Bentonville subdivision.

Touchstone subdivision is located in southwest Bentonville. The new homes will be located on Southwest Diamond Drive, Southwest Pearl Drive, Southwest Opal Drive, Southwest Ruby Drive and Southwest 20th Street.

Stribling Packaging Eyes January Move

Magnolia Investments and Stribling Packaging recently purchased a building permit valued at $5.2 million for its new facility in Rogers.

Currently located at 307 W. Stribling Drive in northeast Rogers, Stribling Packaging is targeting a January move to its new, 274,000-SF facility at 1600 N. 35th St. northwest Rogers.

Conark Builders in Rogers, a division of Nabholz Construction Corp., is the general contractor on the project.

Stribling will use 10,000 SF for its offices. Its new facility will be on 22.5 acres.

Bill Stribling Jr., president of Stribling Packaging, said the new site will be part of a “graphics packaging campus.” Ro-Ark Printing Inc. is also relocating to the Bekaert Drive area on about 17.5 acres in a 100,000-SF facility. Conark Builders is also the general contractor on the Ro-Ark building.

The Tower #2 To Open in Spring

Collins Haynes and Bill Schwyhart of Hart & Haynes LLC purchased a building permit valued at $2.7 million for another five-story office tower in west Rogers.

The Tower #2, projected to be open by March, will be about 50,000 SF and will be located at 5414 Pinnacle Pointe Drive. It is identical to The Tower #1, and the two will be adjacent to each other.

Baldwin & Shell Construction Co. of Springdale is the general contractor on the building. Haynes Unlimited is the architectural firm.

Rogers Restaurant Gets Final Financing

Kona Restaurant Group Inc., a division of Austin, Texas-based Fired Up Inc., on July 30 secured a loan of $1.64 million from First American Bank in Texas for its planned restaurant in Rogers.

Johnny Carino’s Country Italian Restaurant, which is owned and operated by Kona Restaurant Group, will be located in Scottsdale Center near the intersection of Interstate 540 and Walnut Street. It plans to open Dec. 10. The facility, complete with a patio area, will be 6,935 SF.

Johnny Carino’s is a self-proclaimed casual dining restaurant, with innovative recipes and décor. It has restaurants in Arkansas, Texas, Colorado, Idaho and internationally in the Middle East.

Parkway Construction Co. of Louisville, Texas, is the general contractor.

Colton’s Steakhouse and Grill opened in August in Scottsdale Center. That 4,800-SF restaurant is at 4700 W. Locust St.

Continued Growth Forces Airways Freight Addition

Airways Freight Corp. of Fayetteville recently purchased a building permit valued at $950,000 to add more space to its west Fayetteville headquarters.

Located west of Ozarks Electric Cooperative at 3849 Wedington Drive, Airways Freight is having an additional 15,000 SF of office space built.

Hunnicutt Construction Company Inc. is the general contractor on the project.

Airways Freight employees 85 people. The company, founded in 1980, began as an airfreight forwarder. It provides domestic and international freight forwarding, truck and international ocean surface brokerage. The latest addition is its third. The original complex was constructed 12 years ago.

Tunbridge Subdivision to Build More Homes

Lance Johnson Building Co. in Springdale recently purchased five building permits totaling $805,000 for more west Bentonville homes.

Houses there will be about 2,000 SF each and priced between $140,000 and $150,000.

The latest additions will be at 208, 213, 301 and 702 Tunbridge Drive and 2602 S.W. Eighth St.

River Valley Homes Busy in Springdale

River Valley Homes and its president, Marty J. Haest Jr., recently purchased 10 more building permits valued at a total of $739,184 for construction of east Springdale homes.

The homes will be in phase III of the Northeast Meadows subdivision. They will range in size from 1,480-1,660 SF and will be located on Timberline Avenue, Moody Lane, Prairie Street and Pioneer Street.

Riggins Adds Five Homes at Ravenwood Addition

Darin Riggins of Riggins Construction recently purchased five building permits valued at a total of $529,355 to build homes at a Springdale subdivision.

The new homes will be located at 4124, 4190, 4222, 4297 and 4318 Ravenwood Lane in Ravenwood subdivision. The homes will range between 2,000 and 2,300 SF.

Ravenwood is located near Interstate 540 and Smith Elementary School.

Springdale Continues Growth with Brandon Developments

Gary Brandon of Gary Brandon Enterprises on Aug. 9 got four loans totaling $469,900 from Community Bank of North Arkansas to build more northwest Springdale homes.

Brandon is building four more homes at Ravenwood subdivision.

Brandon has also developed Pinewoods Estates subdivision in the same area. Pinewoods has 113 lots. Crazy Eight subdivision, another Brandon development, is in the area as well with eight lots.

The homes in Ravenwood and Crazy Eight average about 1,700-1,800 SF, while Pinewoods’ homes average 2,300-2,600 SF.

Pinewoods is on a 57-acre tract bordering Washington and Benton counties. It will feature a jogging trail, swimming pool and gazebo.

Kantz Center Prepares for Additional Tenants

Kathy Ball and Jim Lindsey of Kantz Center LLC recently purchased two building permits totaling $215,000 to finish interior construction of two offices at an east Fayetteville business center.

Kantz Center is located near the intersection of Crossover Road and Mission Boulevard and is home to a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market.

The latest addresses expected to be filled with new tenants soon are on East Citizens Drive.

The Dental Spa, the dentist office of Dr. Robert Hodous has opened. Opening soon will be the Fayetteville Children’s Clinic, a division of Northwest Health System of Springdale; Family Entertainment Superstore, a video rental outlet; Heavenly Ham, which specializes in spiral cut hams; and another specialized restaurant yet to be announced.
