Walker Lundy Still Confused After Brief Stint in Arkansas
In a column for Minnesota’s St. Paul Pioneer Press, Walker Lundy, former editor of the Gannett-ized Arkansas Gazette, said he arrived in Little Rock in 1988 and was told by reporters that the allegations of Gov. Bill Clinton’s sexual trysts hadn’t been confirmed “a few years earlier, when Clinton had announced for president … So much for the quality of Arkansas investigative journalism.”
We think Lundy — who was known for sensationalizing Arkansas’ distinguished Gazette — has lost touch with reality. Clinton didn’t announce his plans to run for president until 1991, after Lundy had left Arkansas.
So much for the quality of Minnesota editors.
