Democrat-Gazette Publishes Entire Starr Report
We’d like to credit the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette for running the entire report from Kenneth Starr in its Sept. 12 edition. The action indicates Publisher Walter Hussman is serious about his claim that the D-G is Arkansas’ newspaper of record.
The D-G was one of only a few newspapers to go to the expense to print the report in it’s news pages, the cost of which is estimated at around $20,000. The D-G published a special 22-page section containing the entire report. The New York Times, the Washington Post and a few other large, national newspapers also ran the entire report. Newspapers across the country took the less-expensive route of posting the entire report on their Internet web pages and running excerpts in the news pages.
