Dealership Wheelers

A group of Northwest Arkansas investors just bought three sizable Missouri car dealerships.

Rick McCullough, Dan Dykema, Vic Evans and Mark Marquess teamed up to purchase the Joplin, Mo., Ford-Lincoln-Mercury dealership and the Ford and Chrysler-Jeep dealerships in Neosho, Mo.

The group would not disclose the purchase price, but we’re told it was a multi-million dollar deal. It’s also true that the investors are still looking at a couple of additional dealerships in southwest Missouri.

Marquess is president of BMP Development Co. of Springdale and McCullough, the catalyst for this particular investment, is the company’s chief financial officer. Dykema is president of Arkansas National Bank in Bentonville. Evans is vice-CEO of Peterson Farms Inc. of Decatur.

That crew was heavily involved with Bentonville’s new commercial development, Commerce Center and is in the process of buying two Springdale subdivisions for development.
