Sierra LLC of Fayetteville is ready to break ground on its new $1.5 million Central Plaza office complex on Elm Springs Road across from Central Junior High in Springdale. Marquess, whose partners in Sierra are Dykema and McCullough, says the company is still ironing out some financing with the Bank of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

But the 17,000-SF project will include three contiguous buildings of which Kevin Riggins of Riggins Construction Co. will own the 4,000-SF on in the middle. Riggins recently acquired a $900,000 building permit in Springdale for construction at the site.

Sierra will retain the rest of the square footage of the project that’s just west of Central Village. The facility will contain high-end offices and prospective tenants include local doctors and lawyers.

The company just broke ground on a $3.5 million subdivision 1 1/2 miles west on Bentonville on Arkansas 102 that adjoins the Crystal Heights subdivision. The new project will include 135 lots halved into phases of $60,000-$80,000 homes and $80,000-$100,000 homes.

The subdivision has yet to be named but houses will be available for purchase in late summer. The land was purchased Jan. 3 with a $640,000 mortgage from the Bank of Arkansas.
