Commerce Plaza adds another building
A 17,000-SF, $1.7 million retail building that’s part of Commerce Center at the corner of Walton Boulevard and Arkansas 102 in Bentonville is under construction.
Five tenants have already signed leases for two-thirds of the facility, which is being built by Dan Dykema, H. Collins Haynes, Mark Marquess, Vick Evans and Rick McCullough through their company Commerce Plaza LLC.
They acquired a $1.2 million mortgage through the Great Southern Bank in Springfield, Mo., for the building that will be called Commerce Plaza. Construction is supposed to be completed around late April.
Another 10,000-SF office center is scheduled to be completed on the site by mid-April. Eighty percent of the $640,000 property has already been leased.
The partners are also breaking ground on a 16,000-SF, $1 million office building and a 10,000-SF, $640,000 spec office center.
Long-term plans include about 250,000 SF of retail, office and other commercial properties on the 30-acre site.
