Quality Metal Sales specializes in the sale of metal building products such as roofing and siding to contractors and retail customers.

After seven years with another company, Gary Oaks says, he decided it was time to open a business of his own.

Oaks believes that what sets his company apart from similar companies is quality and service.

“I am able to provide better service overall,” Oaks says. “I can do it more on a one-to-one basis with the customer.”

Oaks purchases materials from several local vendors.

“I buy from whoever I can get the best stuff at the best price,” he says.

Oaks says business has been picking up and that he relies heavily on advertising to reach potential clients. Now, Quality Metal Sales is operating out of Oaks’ home, but he hopes to soon open an office in his shop.

Oaks is currently working by himself, but he anticipates hiring up to three employees soon, depending on how fast the business grows.

He is optimistic that his business will grow exponentially. Oaks expects Quality Metal Sales to “grow leaps and bounds in the first year.”
