Sports Grill, Kisor’s Open in Springdale
Athletic Club Sports Bar & Grill opened March 11 in the Springdale Holiday Inn. The bar/restaurant replaced Nite Lites, a dance club that previously occupied the space.
Athletic Club Sports Bar & Grill features four, 8-foot, big-screen television sets and 10 27-inch TVs. A special audio system allows diners to choose between four games or music at individual tables, says Kay Manning, who manages the restaurant.
Athletic Club Sports Bar & Grill is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week. The restaurant features sandwiches, hamburgers, appetizers, pizza (from an in-hotel Pizza Hut franchise) and other entrees. Entree prices range from $3.25 to $13.
A grand opening for Athletic Club Sports Bar & Grill will be held sometime in mid-May.
The bar/restaurant is the second for John Q. Hammons Corp. of Springfield, Mo., which owns the Holiday Inn. The first Athletic Club Sports Bar & Gill was opened in the Embassy Suites in Little Rock.
The Tiffany Grill, which is open for breakfast only, will continue to serve that meal in the atrium of the hotel.
In other news for the Holiday Inn, Todd Hagerty was hired in April as assistant general manager of the hotel. He oversees the food and beverage operation. Hagerty, formerly of Springfield, Mo., replaces Jay Bush, who moved to Seattle, Wash.
