McDonald’s Corp. of Oak Brook, Ill., recently purchased a building permit valued at $675,000 to build a new restaurant in Fayetteville.

The new McDonald’s will be located at 3380 W. Wedington Drive. The target date for opening is Nov. 15.

Brothers Bill and Walter Mathews, who own the franchise rights to all McDonald’s restaurants in Benton and Washington counties, will also own the Wedington restaurant.

The McDonald’s will be part of an Exxon convenience store at the Wedington and Interstate 540 intersection. The land is owned by Griffin-Mardis Investments Inc. of Fort Smith.

A second Exxon-McDonald’s operation will have construction begin in mid-September in Rogers at the intersection of Arkansas Highways 102 and 94.
