Virgil L Morrow
Virgil Morrow, of Greenwood, Arkansas, passed away on June 17, 2026. Virgil was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to the late L. L. Morrow and Orene Kephart. He grew up in Mena, Arkansas, and was a proud graduate of the Mena High School Class of 1960. Virgil began his career working at U.S. Motors before relocating to Fort Smith, Arkansas in 1984 to work at Mac Steel. He dedicated many years of hard work to the company until his well-earned retirement in 2007.
An avid outdoorsman, Virgil loved hunting, fishing, and antler hunting. He was also a passionate sports fan who rarely missed a chance to watch a good game.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley; his sons, Michael Morrow and Todd Morrow; his daughter, LaCreta Farthing and his sisters, Delbra Hasley and Marsha Costner, both of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Judson Morrow; his daughter, Leslie Saunstaire; his brothers, Buddy Morrow and Robert Morrow and his sister, June Morris.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 21 from 2 – 4 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home, located at 137 N. Main St., Greenwood, AR 72936. The funeral service will be held at Westwood Baptist Church, 2110 W. Center St., Greenwood, AR 72936, on Monday, June 22, at 10 a.m. Virgil will be laid to rest at Pinecrest Cemetery on Bethesda Road in Mena, AR 71953, following the service.
