Judy Newsom

Evelyn Jewel Newsom passed away on April 9, 2026, at the age of 87. She was born on October 20, 1938 in Fresno, California to Hazel and Lonnie Petree.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents and brother, RC Petree.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bobby Newsom; children, Ron McGehee and wife Laura, Elane North, and Denise Ross and husband Kendall; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 North 12th Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901, on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
