Josephine Reed

Josephine Reed, 91, of Mountainburg, Arkansas, passed away on January 29, 2026, at a local hospital.

Josephine was born on September 27, 1934, to William and Mattie (France) Campbell. She lived a long and meaningful life marked by love for her family, kindness toward others, and a quiet strength that carried her through the years.

Josephine was a devoted mother and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her two daughters, Rhonda Mendenhall and husband Randy, and Towana Kelley; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy and pride in her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mattie Campbell, and husband Myrl Marrs.

Josephine will be remembered for her gentle spirit, steady presence, and the love she shared with those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Bidville Community Church Building, attention Sondra Drummond Mendenhall, 20231 Bidville Road, Winslow, Arkansas 72959.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 2 PM – 4 PM at Ocker Chapel of Alma, Alma, Arkansas. Graveside Service will be held Monday, February 2, 2026 11:00 AM at Bidville Cemetery.
