Jimmy Charles Crabtree, Sr. of Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. He was born on October 5, 1943, to the late Lester Lee Crabtree and Bertha Mae (Mahan) Crabtree. He was 82 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Geraldine Nixon.

For several years, Jim owned and operated Jim’s Paint and Body Shop in Charleston and retired from Charleston Public Schools. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and loved his family very much. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 12th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife, Zona Marie (Teague) Crabtree; a son, Chuck Crabtree and wife Connie of Booneville; his daughters, Leslie Thompson and husband Steve of Tontitown, Betty Kaye Heim and husband Steve of Berryville, Amy Turner and husband Tom of Branch, Lindsay Gage and husband Braeden of Rogers, Shana Brown and husband Bill Aden of Alma, and Leigh Azam and husband Riz Wan of Fort Smith; two sisters, Earlene Lovelace of Tulsa and Linda Callahan of Paris; his grandchildren, Sydney Martin, Crissy Pursley, Kirsten Crabtree, Elizabeth Turner, Laney Hawk, Lilly Turner, Bella Crabtree, Ben Turner, Bella Turner, Jaxon Crabtree, Sutton Gage, Zona Kate Gage, Kameron Guess, Katelin Brown, Madison Brown, Jace Treat, and Brooklyn Treat.

Family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
