Joe Edward Brown, Sr.

Joe Edward Brown, Sr. 83 of Van Buren passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025 in Fort Smith. He was a retired mechanic that worked for the Fort Smith Public School System. He was a U.S. Veteran of the Army Reserves. He was preceded in death by his parents Grady and Dorothy (Childress) Brown; one sister Colleen Brown.

He is survived by five sons Bryan Brown and wife Angie of Magnet Cove, Keith Brown and wife Terri of Fort Smith, Matt Brown and wife Jennifer of Alma, Joe Brown Jr. and wife Keli of Van Buren and David Brown of Van Buren; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.

Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren. No formal service will be held at this time.
