Sissy Garr

Sissy Garr, 86, of Van Buren, Arkansas passed away Friday, November 7, 2025 in her home. She was born November 12, 1938 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Roy and Willie (Qualls) Berry.

She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly “Missy” Thacker and husband, Dwight, five grandchildren, Tyler Nicodemus and wife, Katelin, Nicholas Nicodemus, MaRae Honaker and husband, Bobby, Alivia Lawson and Aleigh Lawson and six great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Garr; one son, Paul Martin; a daughter, Cassie Lawson; one brother, Roy Gene Berry and her best friend, Donna Dennis.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 11 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery.
