Roger “Mac” Patrick 59 of Van Buren passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, in his home. Following high school graduation Mac went into the Navy and then worked at Gerdau in Fort Smith until his retirement. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Roger was well known for his huge heart and joyful laugh with an even bigger sense of humor. He spent his days with his family “his pride and joy.” He loved helping others, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Being a papaw to Clayton was one of his greatest gifts on earth and always putting others above himself was an example he set for us all. He loved bragging on his children Jeffrey, Josh and Erin and his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roger Patrick Sr. and Doris (Foster) Bryson, a sister, Beverly Schneider. Roger is survived by his wife Teresa Patrick of the home; two sons Joshua Klomfas of Van Buren and Jeffrey Hornor of New Mexico; one daughter Erin Barker of Fort Smith; three sisters Mandy Carlson of St. Petersburg, Florida, Elizabeth Gable of Ozark and Virginia Dewinter of Clarksville; one brother Bill Umboltz; a stepfather Wayne Bryson; a stepmother Janet Patrick; three grandchildren Olivia, Sydney and Clayton.

Graveside funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday September 12, 2025 at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Visitation will be 4:00 until 6:00 PM Thursday at Ocker Funeral Home 700- Jefferson Street Van Buren, AR 72956.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Page, John Wornkey, Shannon Simmons, Brad Long and Michael Jones.
