Geneva Louise Plum, 91, of Alma, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Friday, September 5, 2025.

Geneva was a devoted homemaker and a woman of strong Baptist faith. She had a deep love for makeup and fixing her hair, always carrying herself with grace and elegance. A true lady at heart, Geneva’s greatest joy came from her family. She was also an exceptional cook, and her holiday meals, prepared with love—will be dearly missed by all who gathered around her table.

She was born on November 29, 1933, in Dayton, Arkansas, to the late Bert and Irene (Stanfield) Brown. In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, James Plum; her son, Eddie Patterson; seven brothers; and four sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Louise Childers and husband Larry of Van Buren, Arkansas; her son, Mike Patterson of the home, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Sheila Patterson; her grandchildren, Tina Louise Childers, Scott Overby, Savannah Combs, and Sierra Patterson; great-grandchildren, Allie Louise Houck, Harley Louise Jennings, Adeline Lambert, Tucker Overby, Audrie Shepherd, Kylie Shepherd, Carlie Shepherd, Gabriel Jackson, Christopher Jones, and Atlas Jones.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Bolton Cemetery in Alma, Arkansas, with Pastor Jimmy Morrison officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Elaine Hankins – Cooper, Jo Anna Lockwood, and Heart of Hospice for the loving care and kindness they provided to Geneva.
