Richard Earl Maxwell, 74, of Arkoma, OK passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025 in Arkoma. He was born on August 4, 1951 to Lester and Earlene Mae (Van Meter) Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Kimberly Taylor, a son, Jonathan Maxwell; a sister, Janet Flota and three brothers, James, Tommy and Eddie Maxwell. Richard was of the Christian faith.
Funeral services are 11:00AM, Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will visit with friends Tuesday, September 9th from 5-7 at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Maxwell of the home; a daughter, Andrea Kershaw of Roland, OK; three sons, Mikey Scully of Springfield, TN, Duane Maxwell of Muldrow, OK and Corey Burton of Arkoma, OK; four sisters, Carolyn Wooten, Barbara and Nancy Murphy and Priscilla Sebo and two brothers, Robert Maxwell of Roland, OK and Bill Maxwell of Pocola, OK.
Pallbearers are Van Overstreet, Todd Jerrell, Jacob Bean, Robert Don Maxwell, Daniel Murphy and Billy Maxwell. Honorary pallbearers are Chris and Curtis Sebo.
