Elmer Brian Reed

Elmer Brian Reed, 52, of Fort Smith, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025. He was born on March 11, 1973, in Van Buren, AR to Elmer Reed and Brenda Beckham Reed. Brian, as he was known to his family and friends, had many adventures in his 52 years and lived life to its fullest. Brian graduated from Northside High School and later served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1992 to 1996. Brian was employed at First National Bank, where he worked for over 20 years.

Brian took great pride and joy in his family and those friends who became family. Never was one to meet a stranger, Brian was always able to bring out the best in anyone he met. He was always a fan of the holidays, with Halloween and Christmas being his favorite. He loved going to yard sales and antique shops. He is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Reed.

He is survived by his spouse, Nicholas Redding, they were married on September 10, 2022. His son, Bo Austin Reed-Redding, his mother Brenda Reed, and his brother Aaron Keith Reed. He is also survived by his nephews, Parker Reed, C.J. Reyna and Leland Reyna. His niece, Madysen Reed, two mother-in-laws, Jennie Beshears and Mandi Redding, two father-in-laws, Wes Redding and Larin Beshears, two sister-in-laws, Erika Morrison and Lauren Redding.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Madysen Reed, Parker Reed, Wes Redding and Larin Beshears.
