Violet Sue Williamson, 76, of Arkoma passed away on Saturday July 19, 2025 in a Little Rock Hospital. She was born April 28, 1949 in Fort Smith to George and Olive (Morton) Ledford. She was a retired school teacher for the Arkoma School District. Violet was preceded in death by a daughter, Piper Watson.
She is survived by her husband, Darel Williamson of the home; one daughter, Patty and her husband Bradley Tucker of Van Buren; one son, Darel II and his wife Amy Williamson of Hackett, AR; one sister, Debra and her husband Dan Lokey of Arkoma; one brother, Stanley and his wife Alice Ledford of Lindsey, OK; a son-in-law, Jason Watson of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, Caleb and Mason Williamson, Emily Sims, Morgan Longan, Victoria Wood, Lathan and Dawson James; ten great-grandchildren, Riley, Kendrick, Harper, Bennett, Tate, Ruby and Bailey Williamson, Noah Sims, Lily Longan and Barrett Dennis.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday July 24, 2025 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Lathan and Dawson James, Caleb and Mason Williamson, Billy Byers and Neal Hiatt.
