“I look forward to stepping into this new role at MISO,” Miller said. “I’m excited about leading a world-class team of professionals who are committed to a safe, secure and reliable bulk electric system.”

Before joining MISO, Miller worked in technology and cybersecurity leadership roles for industries, such as defense, healthcare and manufacturing. He started his career as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army.

Miller graduated from Bowling Green State University with an MBA and Johns Hopkins University with a master’s degree in systems engineering. He recently completed the Chief Information Security Officer Executive Education and Certificate Program at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy. He has multiple cybersecurity certificates, including certified cloud security professional and certified information system security professional with advanced specialties in architecture as an information systems security architecture professional and engineering as an information systems security engineering professional.

“Continuously demonstrating his commitment to the mission and vision of MISO, Eric’s promotion to vice president and CISO reflects his ability to uphold the core values and drive forward MISO’s mission to be the most reliable, value-creating RTO,” said Todd Ramey, senior vice president of markets and digital strategy at MISO.
